Leia Weathington (creator of The Legend of Bold Riley), Justin Hall (Glamazonia: The Uncanny Super-Tranny) and Charles “Zan” Christensen (The Power Within, The Mark of Aeacus) will be exhibiting at the fabulous GeekGirlCon in Seattle this weekend signing copies of the books and meeting with readers. Stop by and say hello!
Wholesale orders have started coming in for Dylan Edwards’ new graphic novel Transposes, and it will be winging its way to a comic shop near you very soon. In case you missed the news, the book has a foreword by the incomparable Alison Bechdel (New York Times bestselling author of Fun Home and Are You My Mother?).
“If you’ve never had to wonder about who you are or who you want, or what, if anything, those things might have to do with one another,” Alison writes in her foreword, “Transposes will teach you something about what it means to have a body and to feel desire. About what it means, in short, to be human.”
That’s pretty freakin’ sweet.
We’ve been hard at work expanding our digital selections available on iTunes and have some fantastic new stuff. Jon Macy, the creator of the Lambda-Award-Winning Teleny and Camille, has a new fantasy romance series that we have just started releasing digitally, with all new cover artwork and designs, bonus sketches, videos and more. The first two Fearful Hunter books are available on iTunes now, and the first one is absolutely free!
We’ve just released a digital collection of the Young Bottoms in Love webseries, which was edited by Tim Fish and crew on PopImage.com. This massive, 270 page anthology boasts Tim Fish and over 40 more creators, including Howard Cruse, Paige Braddock, Brett Hopkins, Michael DiMotta and Tim Piotrowski. As if all that wasn’t enough, proceeds from the sale of Young Bottoms in Love benefit the fabulous LGBT comics nonprofit Prism Comics, who are currently accepting submissions for their Queer Press Grant program until October 1st.
We’re also hard at work putting together digital editions of Tim’s fantastic Cavalcade of Boys collections. So far, we’ve got Volume 1 and Volume 2, Strugglers, and Love is the Reason finished, and are hard at work on Volume 3 and Trust/Truth.
We’ve also got the complete set of Ignite! Entertainment translations of German cartoonist Ralf König’s work: Maybe… Maybe Not! and Maybe… Maybe Not Again!, The Killer Condom, and its sequel Down to the Bone. Speaking of Ignite!, we not only have all the Jayson collections (Jayson Goes to Hollywood, Best of the 80s, and Best of the 90s) but we also recently posted a digital exclusive—The History of Jayson… So Far—a 63-page free companion volume with the whole story of Jayson from his humble beginnings to the present, with rare cartoons, photos, and other neat stuff.
